The Five-fold ministry of Ephesians 4:11-12 for Christian leadership is to equip and release believers and whole congregations into effective outreach and mercy ministries, and with accountability. Churches which invest in the training and equipping of their whole congregation, and don't limit ministry to just a few leaders, have been growing in maturity and numbers. An increasingly dysfunctional western society keeps manufacturing hurting and wounded people who each need the love of Jesus Christ and effective ministry led by the Holy Spirit. This is the real mission of the Christian Church today.
