Jubilee News Update July 2008

What a busy year! Usually we run about 20 seminars throughout New Zealand during a normal year, and also have a few in various other countries. So, we have had over 40 seminars and other speaking engagements the length and breadth of the nation, more than once. And we are only in July. There is a spiritual hunger arising!

Approx. 20% of the NZ population suffers from these conditions at some point, and it is time the Christian Church was equipped to help them better. For many who suffer, being told they just need to read their Bible more or pray more is a substandard response and actually is a form of spiritual abuse based in ignorance of the real issues. The previous 5 cities Grant led seminars in NZ saw almost 2,000 people equipped and ministered to with significant results. We hope to see you there.

Report on events so far 2008:

The Summer Schools in Auckland, Wellington and Dunedin were exciting. Our special guest speakers were Rev. Dr. Alistair Petrie, and son, Mike. The primary topic was on redeeming the land and lifting the curses & iniquities off the people. This was serious Intercession & Spiritual Warfare training for those who attended.

Equipped for Wholeness School of Practical Ministry

Many thanks for those who prayed for this important four-day training. We had folks attend from Southland to Northland. Speakers included Quinn Schipper (from Oklahoma, counsellors Helen McGhie and Sue Adams from the Wellington region, & Dr. Selwyn Stevens. We also had video teaching from Dr Lynn Reddick on the power of our words of Blessing; and Dr. Grant Mullen on Shame issues. All the speakers were well received and many lives were touched and changed.

Feedback has been so positive, we are planning on a similar training course in Auckland (subject to a venue we can use for the four days); and also repeating this in Christchurch (for the South Islanders) in April 2009.

Details will be advised once confirmed for the courses to come.

The Two-Minute Miracle meetings with Dr. Lynn & Linda Reddick

from Georgia USA. were exciting! These were held in Wellington, Wairoa, Napier, Palmerston North, Levin, Rotorua, Auckland, & Warkworth. Testimonies have been very positive. This included the Reddick’s speaking at the Full Gospel Businessmen’s’ Annual Convention.

We are planning a return visit with the Reddick’s in March 2009 to train in Open Church principles. This means turning spectators into participants. These will be 3-day training courses. Details later.

We have also recently led seminars etc. in Queenstown, Nelson, Christchurch & Ashburton, Clinton & Tuapeka Mouth in South Otago; & Alexandra and Queenstown in Central Otago. These were well attended, and exciting testimonies have already been received.

We have also led training and release for intercessory groups in Wanganui, Ashburton, Queenstown, Ashhurst and Otaki, with more pending in various towns and cities.

Charity Commission Registration

The NZ Government had all existing charities reapply to confirm their status. Jubilee Resources International Inc. has just received confirmation of our re-registration, and granted full tax-exempt status. Our Reg. number is CC26087. This reaffirms the details in a previous newsletter about donations from within New Zealand to our work over $5-00 will receive full tax-deductible benefits. In addition the government have now lifted the cap on the amount that can be claimed to one-third, regardless of the amount. The new policy came in from April 2008, and applies to the current financial year.

Jubilee Training Institute

We are pleased to advise the launch of two schools with different subject matter. These are:

School of Christian Counselling Courses:

Certificate in Bible-Centred Counselling Certificate in Marriage, Family & Parenting Counselling Certificate in Emotional Wholeness Counselling Certificate in Identity & Change Counselling Certificate in Disorders, Addictions & Cult Counselling Diploma in Christian Counselling & Pastoral Care Post Graduate Diploma in Christian Counselling Certificate in People Caring Skills

The first five certificates constitute the Diploma in Christian Counselling & Pastoral Care, which we have been running for several years. Quite a number have already graduated with this. Each certificate will take a student approx. 6 months to complete.

Because of an Articulation Agreement with a fully accredited Christian university, we are also able to offer a Bachelor's degree/Post Graduate Diploma in Christian Counselling.

The last Certificate is a 12-month briefer overview of the whole course, designed more for upskilling house-group leaders and part-time pastors.

School of Biblical Studies Courses:

Certificate in New Testament Studies Diploma in Biblical Studies

We are about to grant the first certificates to graduates of the New Testament course. This is a 12-month course. We will shortly be announcing additional assignments for the New Testament studies course, which will result in a Diploma in New Testament Studies on completion. The Diploma in Biblical Studies is a three-year course part-time, with lectures on MP3 CD's, textbooks etc. The Board will make a decision about degrees which follow on from this course during 2009.

All are Distance-learning courses.

Part 1 - Reversing the Curse of Halal

Following the details mentioned about this in our last newsletter, we have received a number of responses. This relates to the idolatrous practice of dedicating each animal to Allah (the Islamic god) at the point of slaughter. We have discovered that virtually every animal processed through NZ meat works receives this treatment. No wonder our meat industry feels cursed! I hope you are saying grace over your food.

We are eating meat offered to idols, something forbidden under the New Covenant by the First Council of Jerusalem, recorded in Acts 15:29. We understand Australia refused to allow compulsory Halal in their meat works, which may explain why Australian farmers are receiving about twice the price NZ farmers do, all other things such as droughts being equal.

We are inviting prayer and action to fix this matter. We are aware of a small Christian-supported abattoir in Southland that doesn’t allow Halal idolatry. Calling all Christian sheep farmers! Let’s bring you together and establish a series of similar abattoirs through NZ, and connect you with butcher shops that will supply people with Curse-Free Meat!

Business people willing to consider investing in such a project are also welcome to contact us. Let the profits be shared between the struggling meat farmers and the consumers who are now hit with “export-prices” which have been inflated by too many middlemen.

We are aware of a business proposal to enable this to happen. We’d like to use our contacts to bring the right people and resources together so a vital industry might be blessed by reversing the curse of Halal.

Part 2 - Reversing the Curse of Halal

This issue continues to agitate a few folks but we are pleased to report that most Christians understand this. Copies of our remarks on this have turned up in a number of Church bulletins as a prayer matter of significance. Please keep praying.

Something over 95% of NZ meat has been prayed over by an Islamic priest/slaugtherman, which causes a problem for Bible-believing Christians as we are commanded not to eat meat offered to idols, (see Acts 15:29). This is New Covenant, something some who have written in haven't understood.

We are also aware of other products from these sources, such as gelatine, which is also used in some ice cream manufacturing. Saying a blessing over all our food has more meaning now!

We have tentatively negotiated the supply of top-quality pre-cut lamb, mutton, hogget and beef at discounted prices to be delivered in small chilly bins nationwide. This will be Curse-Free Meat! We would prefer for this to be available through churches & other local Christian groups, and are also working on a web site for ordering, so price including delivery will be cheaper than the present meat supply. Churches and other community groups would be encouraged to order a sufficient quantity at the same time to ensure the best prices. Filling the freezer for two to four weeks at a time is probably the best option.

These will all take time to put together but we want to have good quality food, with farmers getting a fair price and the customer assured of good price, better quality and curse-free meat.

Spiritual Warfare Teams

Jubilee has been training groups of people in various centres to pray effectively for local spiritual and economic breakthroughs. This is a follow-up from the Boot Camps we held in many towns and cities a couple of years ago. It is time the Christian Church became the Army of God. We are now ready to make this equipping available to Christians in any community that really want to see Transformation. This is not for rebels seeking the overthrow of local pastors, and will be best suited for Kingdom-minded and accountable Christians who can work as a team. Dr. C. Peter Wagner has requested us to do this training in all 50 states in the US.

Taxes and Authority

Here is an alternative perspective.

Some years back, in a city with a huge Masonic presence, two ladies took on the problem with a simple strategy. They went to each building in the downtown area that had a Masonic cornerstone and they spoke to the demons that had been empowered by the original dedications. They had a two-step approach.

1) They acknowledged that the demons had a profound legal right to be in the cornerstones because of those dedications. They conceded that and did not command them to leave.

2) They then commanded the demons not to leave the cornerstones to roam around the city because they had no right on public land!

You see, the ladies leveraged their payment of taxes.

They knew that as taxpayers, they were part owners of every bit of public property. They owned the streets, the sidewalks, the trees, the cemetery, the courthouse, the public utilities, every scrap of equipment in the police department and every other department, all the way down to the paperclips in the local schools. If their taxes paid for it, they owned it.

And as owners, they could declare Kingdom authority over those buildings and land.

So they did! The demons were confined to the cornerstones and were not allowed to run free in town. The murder rate dropped by 90% as a result of that strategy. Not bad for two people with a simple method. (Source:www.plumbline.org.)

False Prophet Warning

We have received a number of inquiries about the claims of Ronald Weinland. He claims to be one of the Two Witnesses mentioned in the Book of Revelations, and even claims to be God's sole mouthpiece. He also claims that Herbert W. Armstrong was God’s end-time Apostle – that will ring bells with every Christian!

Ronald Weinland has written a book entitled 2008: God’s Final Witness. He claims that the USA, Canada, Britain, Australia and New Zealand will all be destroyed before the end of this year. His regular boasting of his own self-elevated position should be sufficient to warn others about this false prophet and teacher. He even claims that, apart from the Bible, his two books are the only truthful documents on planet earth. Yeah, Right!

Flyers

Our website has just had some new features added, with more to be added over coming weeks. We have been asked to produce flyers of use for folk on a variety of topics. Apart from the ones advertising our seminars & training courses (which are always at the top of the page) those further down will be semi-permanent. Topics include Freemasonry, How to avoid Deception, Mormonism, The Watchtower, Seventh-day Adventism, & Halloween. Pastors in over 40 countries have been using these to educate their congregations.
